1. Core Function: Pressure Limiting and Safety Protection
The hydraulic system provides tremendous power to the pump truck, but this force must be controlled within a safe range. The relief valve is the "guardian" for this safety limit.
1. Set the pressure limit: Each pump truck's hydraulic system has a designed maximum working pressure (for example, 32 MPa). The relief valve is adjusted and fixed at this pressure value.
2. Normal state - Closed: When the system is operating normally, the hydraulic pressure is lower than the set value of the relief valve. The relief valve is closed, and all the hydraulic oil is used for normal work (to push the cylinder or motor).
3. Abnormal state - Open: When the system pressure attempts to exceed this set value due to some reason, the relief valve will immediately open and divert some or all of the hydraulic oil directly back to the reservoir (to relieve pressure).
4. Maintain pressure: Through this "pressure relief" action, it firmly "holds" the highest pressure of the system near the set value, thereby protecting the entire system.
